The game in one paragraph
Each player has nine pieces. You take turns placing them on the board's twenty-four points, then sliding them along the lines. Line up three of your own pieces along a marked line and you have made a mill — remove one of your opponent's pieces. Reduce them to two pieces, or leave them with no legal move, and you win.

Nine Men's Morris is played almost everywhere and is called something different nearly everywhere: Mills, Merels, Merrills, Mühle, Molenspel, Morabaraba, नवकंकरी, Navakankari. The rules on this page are the standard ones.
